Belly Dancing Classes & Lessons Details 

Group Class Explanation: 

Beginner Series Classes

Level 1

• Recommended for students new to oriental dance.
  
• This belly dance class covers basic technique, muscle breakdown, light history of dance, stretching and strength building. 
  
• Written description e-mailed every week for practice fun and keepsakes.
• Fun easy combinations are taught to share with your friends and family.
  
• Limited space of 15 students to create individual growth quickly for all. 
• In the offered, 5 week series classes, you will learn how to string the combos together to create a dance.
  Intermediate Series Classes

Level 2

• Recommended for students who want a challenge, continued lessons of basic middle eastern dance, as well as layering techniques,
• Performance tips.
• Dance conditioning of body.
  
• Tools added; such as veils, finger cymbals, candle tray and sword. 
  
• This class will have combinations, choreography and drills that focus and build upon the basics.
• Homework written will be given and regular e-mail communication during the entire series sessions.
  
• Medium to High Body Impact
  

Beginning/Intermediate Classes

• Beginning/Intermediate  classes are  geared towards both  beginning students
  and those with previous belly dance training.
• Advanced combinations, drills and focused instruction on the use of tools. 
  
• History, self exploration, performance techniques  are focused in these advanced classes. 
  
• Belly Dancing Performance opportunities available. 
• Low to High Body Impact varies by individual

Private Class Explanation:

 Individual 

• One on one with Miss Zy. 
  
• Working on specific goals set by both.
• Health history, stamina building techniques, and small detail workings are all a part of this one on one experience. 
  
• You will get a homework sheet to work on, explaining all that was taught during this private lesson.

Two- Five Students

• This is considered a semiprivate class and the fee is lower per student than the individual private class. 
  
• The focus is on each of the attending students as a whole. 
  
• This is a great opportunity to work on trouble spots for group performances, or with students that are struggling with the same dance moves or transitions or tool.

SAMEDA Holiday Party.  This is an annual opportunity.

A fund raiser that students all around southern California came together to raise thousands of dollars for schools. A local student made our costumes.

These students enjoyed getting messy for a Halloween performance.  Their dance incorporated belly dance moves with a lot of humor.  They were a hit!
